The Shopping Scout in Kansas City

I know it's only April, but I can't help but notice all the pretty pool attire when I am out shopping. Now is the best time to stock up on all the essentials for summer. Come June, most stores are picked over. Especially when it comes to swimwear. For summer I love a great cover up, the perfect pool bag and a sandal that's just a step up from a flip flop. Here are just some of the gems I have found along the way...

T.J. Maxx had a great selection of cover ups that weren't too skimpy. They ranged from $14.99-$19.99

I love this lightweight Tunic with ethnic print and stone embellishment/

T.J. Maxx also had some great beach bags. This Ikat with rope handle was by far my favorite and was $29.99

I searched high and low for great flat sandals. It's really a platform/wedge season, so when it comes to flats there isn't as much to choose from.

 I think these silver faux python from Ann Taylor Loft Outlet (at The Legends) are adorable and so inexpensive! $17.99. They also came in 4 other colors.

Gold Sandals look great casual or dressed up. These were by Jeffrey Tyler at Off Broadway Shoes for $29.99

If you are looking for a cute black pair, I think these by Seychelles are really fun. At DSW for $49.99

Next on my list?  I will be on the search for the perfect sun hat!
