Before there were True Religion's or Citizens of Humanity, there was Lee jeans. They are one of the oldest manufacturers of denim and casual wear, and they happen to be based right here in Merriam, Kansas. They employ over 400 people in Kansas and continue to manufacture quality denim with great fit at an affordable price.
Lee has had a makeover in the past few years, and their fits and fabrics have improved to compete with the premium denim lines. They were kind enough to send me a few pair to try out and I have to say I was very impressed.
Overall I feel like Lee is made to fit every woman. When I tried on all 3 of these jeans, I couldn't believe how comfortable they were! For so many years, I have been wearing jeans that may look good, but truly aren't cut for a woman's figure. Most denim is cut too low, too narrow through the hips and don't have the right amount of stretch.
My favorite of the three fits was the Slender Secret Stretch skinny jean in a dark indigo wash. It's a very clean looking jean that could be worn with anything. For the first time in my life I tried on a jean that had a rise that felt good and the waist didn't gape. They have a 10" rise, which is considered low for them, but I don't think I have tried on anything over 9" in years. All of their skinny jeans are on sale for $36-39.99 on Lee.com

This is the Midrise trouser jean. This is the perfect jean for someone that wants something a little bit dressier. It has a really nice mid-rise fit and one of Lee's fit innovations, the Ultimate No-Gap Waist. They retail for $56 but are on sale for $36.99 on Lee.com

The Slender Secret Bootcut is a great everyday jean. The rise is comfortable and it sits on your natural waist. The Slender Secret Stretch helps the jeans retain their shape all day long and gives an overall slimming effect. I am wearing the Bailey flap pocket which retails for $56 and on sale for $34.99 on Lee.com

Lee is also giving back to the community with their event National Denim Day, which is one of the country’s largest single-day fundraisers for breast cancer. On October 7th, supporters nationwide came together to put on their jeans in exchange for contribution to the fight against breast cancer with the goal of raising millions of dollars in a single day. The money raised benefits the Women’s Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) which include Lee Laboratories, the EIF Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project and Cancer Support Communities.
